I used to say 'Civic' with a hint of disdain but I genuinely want this to be my next car (yes I already have a civic but it's not an Si).
Progressive-rate springs, big sway bars, VTEC (yo), still gets decent fuel economy, possibly the last good-looking Civic (modern enough to be relatively safe, old enough to not be a bloated disaster), sunroof (I've always wanted a sunroof) and DAMN attractive. I mean, look at that picture. I love everything about that. That is the perfect amount of modification. Hnnng.

I have a parts car Civic that has literally no purpose other than donating some glass and a transmission to my car.
I might still sawzall the roof off and blast around the field behind the dealership in it.

Now is the perfect time to ignore that FP article about project cars and start planning an engine swap.
In all seriousness, a B16 or B18 out of an Integra shouldn't be hard to find at a junkyard...just make sure the timing belt is intact.
Then again, this "advice" is coming from someone who barely owned his car a month before dropping a grand on a 3" exhaust and Stage 2 tune...not advisable.

B series swap is a BIIIIITCH. I'm going to turbocharge the D16 I have currently.

B-b-but...they tell me Hondas are like Legos! How could they lie??? /s
Yeah, I think all engine swaps are kind of a PITA. Subarus are theoretically easy as well...until you have to reroute the entire front wiring harness, one splice at a time.

yeah. I thought a B20 swap would be easy as well. Nope. Won't work with my trans, need motor mounts, need starter, stuff from about 900000 other Hondas, wiring harnesses, computer, etc. etc. etc. and in the end it's way easier to buy a bolt-on turbo kit for $600 from eBay and detune it to 6 or 7psi and get ~160hp total that way.

The B20A from the Prelude or the B20B from the CR-V? Because the B20A is a completely different engine.

I told my missus that my Civic '99 looked better without the front licence plate. (too bad I could get it impounded because of it). By $deity, I was right, I just needed that skirt kit right there.
On the other hand, this skirt would be torn right off on the first speed bumper.

B20B. It was offered to me free. Unfortunately the swap would have made it very very expensive.

600$ ebay turbo kit is almost as bad of an idea as sawzalling the roof off

The $600 is worth it for the intercooler, piping, and manifold alone. I also have a spare engine and my friend will give me a turbo if mine blows up, and I'm going to run 6psi instead of the more common 12+ people shove through eBay turbos, so that's even less stress on components. I'm pretty confident in it, honestly.

Yeah. It's the Integra engines that will swap in because they used most of the same ancillaries as the JDM Civics. The other B-series engines will swap into a CR-V easily enough (the auto bolts up fine but you'll nuke it pretty quick) as long you buy an ECU...but one of those is bigger and therefore doesn't have the fitment issues.
At one point I wanted to buy a Prelude, and in the process soaked up way more Honda knowledge than I feel comfortable having as someone who has never owned a Honda.

Does your car still burn oil?
Ever run a leak down test?
What are you doing for an ECU and sensors?

I've always liked this generation of Si's, and they seem to be more safe from being ruined. Plus, dat redline.

I like the 06-11 Civic the most (Sedan only though, Coupe I don't like)
I think Civics are fantastic cars, they have so many modding possibilities, they aren't eyesores (new one is argueable), and they are great economy cars. Pretty quick too with Si and Type R variants. They often get alot of flack for the br0 types that drive them sadly.

So jealous. Does it still have suspension? I find myself in need of suspension. The previous owner was fat and now the car sags.

Eeh, I dunno. The hood is far too short and the whole thing looks super stubby, which is enhanced by the super high beltline. To each their own but it's not my cup of tea at all.

Yep.
Nope.
Nothing. Since I'm running low boost I can just use a fuel regulator for 'tuning' much like how my friend has done his daily drivable Festiva turbo build.

Would you be selling either one? I might have to save up for a little while, but even the stock Si suspension is worlds better than stock base model suspension, and probably a better idea than eBay lowering springs.

yeah man I've been sitting on it and slowly parting it out since it got totaled a year and a half ago (right side t-bone, structural damage) so what I have is on offer & they're not going anywhere fast. I'll check to see what I still have tomorrow and let you know. If you want to add me we can message and stuff
